My tribute to Cedar

4 years ago i stepped into this school called Cedar Girls Secondary School. I was in awed of it. By the awesome white walls of the school which made me feel home and the most ever wonderful uniform-Blue blouse, Grey skirt and a grey tie with golden strip. It is so unique that we can be recognised by afar, be it by our own schoolmates or the member of the public, we will always be remember. Then being a sec1 on my first day of secondary school, i was nervous yet excited like everyone around me. Nervous of how life was going to be like for my secondary school life, excited of what will happen before our very eyes and most importantly whether i have made the right choice in my life.

Now, 4 years has past with a flash and today the 14th october 2006 i have graduate from the school i love most. Graduate with all my friends who have stepped into this school 4 years ago and most importantly we have graduate and become Women of substances, Leaders of character, also not forgetting the school mottos : Honesty Courtesy Perseverence which has made us who we are today. Such strong values have made a stronger and tougher person because it is only that with perseverance that we can achieve great things in life.

The ups and downs in my 4 years have taught me many things. They gave me confidence and most importantly brought the real person out of me. I have made friends, many whom i know i will remember for life. They gave me assurance when i was in doubt. They supported me through the trials i have to go through in life. Like what Elina said in my autograph book- We are in this together and we will also be there when you need help. "A friend in need is a friend indeed" I am sure if anyone of us need help, you will be there to help right?..

We have all grow together day by day and we have learn to treasure every moments in life. I'll be there to help my friends when they need me as i know they will always be there for me. Even though our final destination may not be the same at the end of the day. Like the the ants who believe that teamwork is the most important thing in life, i believe that the bond between us will stay strong like the molecules of a solid forever-binded with our love for each other.

Leaving a place which has a special place in my heart is never easy. It brought us all hugs and tears which will never be forgotten and if i were given a chance to choose my secondary school during PSLE, i will still put Cedar as my first choice as I have never regret coming here from the first day i set my foot on this very school and being called a cedarian like everyone else. In cedar, we are family no matter how tall how short you are, no matter how many flaws you have in your life as we all wear the same unique uniform and we are all bonded by the cedar culture. Without my fellow friends, the picture of cedar to met will never be perfect.

Cedar, thanks for being there for me, being the best school that you can be. And my friends thanks for making my time here in cedar well-spent, well love and well cherished. Even if it is a few years down the road when when we are parents and have kids or if it is 50 years down the road when we become old and toothless and being old old granny, i'll always remember all of you. Like superglue, the memories will stay in my heart forever and ever.
